Mobility allows us to effectively and safely perform the universal human movements that are required for functional living. These movements include squatting, getting in and out of a chair, reaching into a cupboard or tying your shoes. It plays an important role in decreasing the risk of injury, improving range of motion and reducing chronic joint pain. Mobility is not the same as flexibility. While flexibility refers to the ability to move a joint within a passive (assisted) range of motion, mobility is the ability to actively move within that range. Both mobility and flexibility are involved in movement, and along with joint strength and stability they can contribute to living a pain-free life
Evidence-based care is based on three components: utilizing the best available evidence, clinical expertise and patient preference. At CMC, we strive to fully understand and integrate our patients’ needs, values and preferences into a personalized treatment supported by the newest and best scientific evidence.
At CMC we pride ourselves on putting patient preference first. We understand that every individual is just that – an individual. Each treatment plan is personalized to meet the unique needs of our patients; no “one size fits all” approach here. With a variety of techniques and modalities in our clinical toolbox, we can ensure that our patients receive a comfortable and effective treatment each visit.
