If you’ve recently watched a competitive volleyball tournament or cycling race you’ve most likely seen Kinesiology Tape in action: strips of colourful tape across shoulders, knees, elbows and backs. When applied properly, Kin Tape can help provide proprioceptive support and lessen pain for a variety of soft tissue conditions. It helps activate the neurological and circulatory systems in the tissues where it is applied, which may help enhance to function of the surrounding muscle.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a form of therapy that uses specially designed stainless steel tools to locate and treat soft tissue disorders. These tools are specifically contoured to target and release scar tissue and adhesions deep within the underlying connective tissue and muscle. IASTM is great technique for treating sports injuries, tendinopathies, Plantar Fasciitis, Iliotibial Band Syndrome, Tennis/Golfer's Elbow and general muscle tightness.
Therapeutic Cupping involves stationary and gliding techniques aimed at improving circulation, reducing tension and promoting healing. Our clinic uses silicone cups, which are manually compressed causing a slight vacuuming effect that draws up the skin and underlying tissues. Cupping can help relieve muscular tightness and reduce myofascial pain and is especially helpful for soft tissue complaints.
Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (or TMD) refers to pain and/or tightness in the jaw, face and neck caused by a dysfunctional jaw joint. There are many contributors to TMD, including stress, clenching the jaw or grinding teeth, which can all over-activate and fatigue the jaw muscles. This condition can be treated with a variety of techniques including Soft Tissue Therapy, Mobilizations, Adjustment and Rehab Training.
Cold Laser Therapy is a painless and non-invasive technique that helps reduce pain and inflammation in damaged tissues. It promotes healing by increasing the energy output of cells and improving blood-flow to the injured area. During your initial assessment, the Chiropractor will take an in-depth history and manually assess your complaint to determine a diagnosis and develop a personalized treatment plan. Initial assessments are for new patients to the clinic.
Hands on treatment of your diagnosed injury, involving manipulation, mobilization, soft tissue and/or other manual techniques to help reduce pain and increase mobility. This appointment is for current patients who have had a chiropractic appointment within the last 6 months.
A regular Chiropractic follow up appointment for current patients with the addition of acupuncture.

Re-assessments are required for returning patients who have not received chiropractic care at our clinic for 6 months or longer. An updated assessment will allow our chiropractors to effectively shape your plan of management and treat your injury.
